Established in 1949, the jaipur institution, with marble floors and mirrors set into the walls, is probably the most popular restaurant in town, known mainly for its Continental food that actually tastes like Continental food; try the Chicken Strognoff. It also has Excellent Chinese and Indian fare. Specialties include Reshimi Kebab (skewered boned chicken), Pannier Tikka (cottage cheese with skewered tomatoes, onions and capsicum), or Mutton Tikka Masala ( tandoori lamb simmered in a spicy tomato-and-butter sauce)...

Niros on M.I.Road was established in 1949 and is well worth a try. It’s so popular that you may have to wait for a table, especially on weekends, but fortunately you can book ahead (374493). There’s an extensive menu offering hearty vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian, Chinese and Continental food. Hot sellers include the Chicken Tikka Butter Masala (Rs.103) and the Chicken Pepper Steak Sizzler (Rs.130). An American ice cream soda will set you back a cool Rs.60...

Niros is a real yuppie restaurant, always full of western tourists and offering all sort of non-vegetarian delights from Continental Chicken Strognoff to Chinese Jumbo Prawns and Indian Tandoori items. Don’t worry if you have to wait for a table: it’s worth it...

This is undoubtedly the best restaurant, outside the five-star circuit, in jaipur today. It is fun with its garden look, and is today a landmark on the busy, commercial, M.I.  Road. The service is impeccable and staff well-trained, and the kitchen (one chef for every type of cuisine) is clean and run with an almost military efficiency. Though we are generally wary of restaurants which serve all types of cuisine, Niros has to be the exception...

Crowds swirl in and out of this hugely popular eating place that offers a selection of Indian, Continental and Chinese food. A great favorite is the refreshing American Ice Cream Soda...

Niros, a multi cuisine restaurant, is Jaipur’s most famous eating out place. It’s been in business since 1949 and is mentioned in all the international guide books. “You cannot visit jaipur and not have a meal at Niros”, that’s what every citizen of this capital city will tell you...Jaipur brims with eateries serving vegetarian fare.In fact, non-vegetarian restaurants are hard to find since they tend to be located in pricey hotels with a stiff tag attached. We sourced a non-vegetarian restaurant that got the highest vote from our local contacts...
