FISH N CHIPS
 

1 Kg /2 lb Potatoes cut into 1 cm /1/2 in chips
4firm white fish fillets
Vegetable oil for deep frying

BATTER:
1-1/4 cups/155 g/5 flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1-1-1/4 cups/250-315 ml /8-15 fl water

 

Batter: Sift flour baking powder and salt together into a bowl Make a well in the centre Gradually stir in water to make a smooth batter of pouring consistency.
